Ed Broring came to Schuylerville Central School in his freshman year. He was a quiet, likable young lad, a good student, and a very enthusiastic athlete. In his sophomore year, Ed learned he had cancer. This was devastating news, especially for a sixteen year old, to ac- cept, but Ed was very brave, and taught all of us how to live. Ed appreciated the little things in life that we take for granted. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Ed knew how to make people smile, and always was strong and brave enough not to let us see the pain he felt. He never complained and remained courageous until the end. We at Schuylerville Central were very fortunate to have had our lives touched by this very special young man. The memory of Ed Broring shall remain in our hearts forever.
