The Class of 1976 PRESENT their yearbook. moments and memories of days gone by. Schuylerville Central School Schuylerville, New York 2 To dedicate this book to an individual would be an injustice to the many other persons who have influenced our lives. This is a collage about us, our school, and the people in it. No one person made us what we are or made our time at school what it has been. Yet, just as surely, everyone we know influences us in some way. From each person we may learn something about life and about ourselves. Our personalities and actions reflect the events and the people we have known, and while some may affect us more than others, we relate to each differently. Therefore, the Class of Nineteen Seventy-Six dedicates this Yearbook to all the people, past, present, and future, who shape our existence. I felt your existance there with mine, In such a way words cannot describe. We were a very minute pan Of a massive, growing tribe. We saw the world as it really was And understood it none; But played for endless days In a child's playground made of fun. But as seasons passed and time went by. More and more we’d grown; Until we reached a time when we had thought, We knew all there was to be known. We know of all that had to be known And we spoke of all we knew, And as we talked, we walked together. We talked for days of eternity through. We talked of love and hatred. We talked of bad and good; We told each other all we knew Of the asthetic values of brotherhood. And as we talked together. Each se perate moment shared; We found something in each other That to no other could be compared. For you touched my hand, and you reached my heart, And you deeply touched my soul; And in the far-off distance, A golden bell did toll. For 10 touch is to feci, and to feel is to find, And to find is to gain something new. And with this moment when you touched me, It was then, I knew. I knew not of war, poverty, or hate, I knew not of sickness nor of greed; I knew not of filth that foils mens’ minds. But 1 knew only of life's most flowering seed. I knew of friendship. I knew I had a friend, and a friend is special. A friend is great and true. You are all I need to know, And I hope the same can be said for you, For you are the ultimate friend. The ultimate friend who always is sincere and true who doesn't criticize or mock you For the way you feel or the things you do. Who loves you for just the person that you are And for nothing more The ultimate friend, upon whom you can always be sure. The ultimate is reaching out to touch the bluest sky, Arms stretched outward, wrecking the very greatest cry. And here beside us all, so loud and so peaceful. So dim and unseen Yet so bright and so real. And so very beautiful; The ultimate does surely lie.
