DUBY Medical Examiner The programs of school health services and of health teaching are closely related and should aug- ment and reinforce each other to the end that pupils will understand the purpose of the various health services, procedure, cooperate wholeheartedly in the examination and tests; and develop gradually a per- sonal responsibility for carrying out the recommenda- tion of the health specialists. A high standard of pupil health may be maintained through the teaching of accurate health knowledge; the practicing of desirable health habits and effective health guidance of pupils, parents and school person- nel; the follow up of each pupil until recommended medical and dental treatment has been secured; follow up of illness absences; first aid care of emergencies and advice to the school personnel regarding all con- ditions affecting the health of school children. DWYER Dental Hygienist In cooperation with the schools of District Superin- tendent Myers’ second super- visory district of Saratoga County, Schuylerville Central School shared the services of Miss Mary Lou Dwyer as den- tal hygienist until she sailed to Germany in December to marry George Rounds, who taught in the SCS last year. Mr. Rondell MISS G. DARBY Speech Therapeutist Lennox taught as driver educa- tion teacher for the first semes- ter, moving to South Glens Falls at mid-term. Mr. Charles Cuccio served as school visit during the school year and Miss Gertrude Darby, inaugu- rated a speech therapy program during 1954-55. Mrs. Lillian Willette supplemented our nurse service program.
