Harold Hamilton Hughes was born October l5, l908, at Hayward, Oklahoma. He attended Keystone Grade School for 8 years, and then attended Hayward High School for 3 years. The Hughes family moved to Enid, where Harold became a drop out for 3 years. Upon returning to Hayward, Harold returned to finish his last year of high school. He became their ace baseball pitcher. Harold became a drop out again, this time for 7 years before attending college. He attended Central State College, Edmond, for one year and one summer, receiving his temporary teaching certificate. He taught almost one year at Dripping Springs, before marrying Dorothy Bullock. He then went to Northeastern State College, Tahlequah, during two summer terms and taught school at Dripping Springs during the regular school terms. He returned to Central State College, Edmond, and received his B. S. Degree. Harold received his Masters Degree from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, with teaching fields in Social Studies, English, Science, Safety and Driver's Education, Physical Education, and Elementary Education. Harold's teaching experience i ncludes: 5 years Elementary Dripping Springs l year Elementary Sand Creek V2 year Elementary Principal Prickett Prairie 4 years Elementary Principal Lone Star 3 years .High School Principal Milfay 3 years Superintendent Shamrock 7 years Superintendent Sedan 5 years Superintendent Bradley 4 years Superintendent Pernell 5 years Superintendent Schulter Harold grew to a heighth of 5 feet 7 V2 inches, and a weight of l60 pounds. His eyes are blue his hair was a brown, but now it is mixing with gray. making him a more distinguished looking person. During his 65 years, he has developed a liking for baseball, golf, fishing, hunting, gardening, watching sports on TV, but not necessarily in that order. Among his favorites are: Johnny Carson TV program Red Foxx CSanfordi comedian John Wayne, actor Elizabeth Taylor, actress Fruit Salad, favorite food fwhat's wrong with steakf-'J Coffee to drink Kiss an Angel Good Morning lsongi Chuckwagon Commercial on Dog Food . We wish you good health and a -long life of happiness. The I973 - 74 Student Body and the School Personnel Mrs. Harold Hughes was born June 24, l9l5, near Weleetka, Oklahoma, and was given the name Dorothy Leona Bullock. The Bullock family moved to Sapulpa where Dorothy attended school from the third grade through High School . Dorothy and Harold were married April l9, l938 at Sedan, Kansas Into this union was born 4 boys and one girl: Ronald, Joan, Gale, Alan, and Randy.
