Sports events ranging from volleyball to football occupy the annual calendar. School life would be very dull and trying without an outlet for our abundant, unused energy. In fall our vociferous enthusiasm fills the crisp evening air as our team carries the pigskin into the victory zone. During the winter season, that energy is confined within the boundaries of a gym, while the feverish excitement of basketball disintegrates any trace of indifference. When March winds begin to blow, pre- paration for the track season begins, and the smell of linament hangs in the dressing room air. Although the student body at- tendance at some of the spring events drops slightly, those there represents all our wish- es and hopes for success. True, these sports provide vigorous enter- tainmentg but beyond this our teams ex- emplify for us the Catholic ideals of sports- manship and complete our social growth. port . . .
