Now you're ready to leave the nest.” You are as prepared as can be if you took advantage of the learning opportunities at SLCS. Along with your successes in academics, you have had a good time together as a class. May the memories of your years in school be fond ones, and may you strive for that eternal rainbow where dreams not only comes true but learning never stops being exciting. Good Luck! Deckcc Lisa Beck- At first Lisa considered following in her brother’s footsteps. Then came her 1st big chance when WVNY called and offered her the weather-woman” job but only on days that were partly” to mostly” overcast. Lisa struck out immediately for Burlington ... they’re still waiting for her arrival. Jim Belrose- Jim has changed his name to Thier. Little did anybody realize that his failure to spell their properly was just a ploy. Simply, it was not his failure to conform but his love for the word. There, there Jim ... all things work out for the best! Presently, Jim can be found making the yearly migration of the Wildebeast to East Africa. Angela Colden- Angela’s endeavor after graduation was one that made her an instant person of wealth. After various accidents in the school cafeteria, Angela developed the “Sweater With Lunch Already On It”. No longer will she or her customers be red faced because of accidents while dining. Her latest creation is a v-neck Angora with tomato soup. Mark Delor- On the last school day of ’87 Mark broke the school record for inhaling lunch. From start to finish, Mark totalled 14 seconds. When asked what took him so long, his reply was “I previously tried to eat each course one at a time, until I learned how to swallow the tray whole”. Future plans include his own school of “table manners etiquette”. Louise Kelly- Not to be outdone by her classmates, Tilly has turned to a life of procrastination. Refusing to enter the world’s job market, she stated that after some 16 years of “formal education and two degrees later she was going to live a life of ease and sun herself on her own private, tropical island. Mustering all the money she could, Miss Kelly purchased Word of Life Island last summer, but (as you Know) when winter comes the temperature drops! Tilly can now be seen as a solid block of ice with a deep summer tan that will probably last forever. Kevin Lashway- And who could possibly forget slash”. Yes, we all can remember that fateful day when the “ole Veggy Corner” turned their backs on Kevin for making the honor roll. Beset with emotion, Kevin left the school to become the hermit of Paradox Lake. I will live off the land and find solace with life; I don’t need the likes of rotten vegetation such as you,” he replied! Seemingly, he was never heard from again.......but knowing that crafty fellow as I do......you can probaly find him in some 5th Avenue penthouse doing what he does best .....counting his “meany” blessings. Scott MacGregor- Scott now has his own company. “The Legible Writing Establishment.” Orders have been coming in slowly, probably because patrons cannot read the material. Oh well, practice makes perfect; things can only get better! Kim McCoy- Nobody has seen Kim since her June exit from SLCS. More than likely, she’s somewhere in England and or Scotland searching for her “Mr. Right.” Many of her ex-classmates believe her search is for none other than the great Shakespeare, the dominant love of her life. John Manley- After four years of high school and numerous years of college, John stated what we had all known all along; that once (when I cannot remember) Paul Bessey won an argument with John. Now, not to be outdone, John ruined 497,000 car batteries that belonged to Paul. John stated, “I don’t get mad; I get even.” So much for perseverance. This probably solves the mystery of Paul’s numerous viewings of “Song of The South” and the fact that he’s broke! Steve Organek- Steve can still be seen in the halls arguing with “you know who.” Unfortunately, Mr. Mac would not allow Steve to graduate until he successfully made it to English class two times in a row. Well, he can still be seen practicing to this day. Steve’s reply to his sitution is “Gee this place is like a prison; one in a row is enough let alone two.” Last we knew he had failed for “one in a row” for the 354th time. Keep it up Steve. Dave Rowe- The only member left of the “ole veggy corner, Dave has refused to vacate his area in English class. Shortly after July 1ST of '87, Dave constructed his apartment in “the corner”. Now, seven years later and seven children later, the Board of Education is considering an L wing on the North End of the building to insure proper class size. You profolic devil ... Dave! 40 Diane Sargent- Diane's professional career began shortly after graduation with the Glebus Realty Company. Last year she sold her 1,000 piece ofproperty, encreasing her total sales to 1.2 billion dollars. Rumor has it that she is close to a deal on the Brooklyn Bridge. Patty Smith- Patty recently had her 5th operation for correcting the pain in her neck that was caused by her constantly turning around to argue with “you know who. Future plans include a business venture into the two faced mannequin that will fool teachers, bar customers, ect. Straight Ahead Pattv! Mike Speziali- Mike turned this creative efforts toward Hollywood. His most recent movie 'Rocky Fifty-Eight’ pits Mike against a man eating bulldozer. Needless to say who won .... you can see Mike wandering around the town beach with deep tread marks engraved in his chest. Buffy Strothenke- Some six years after graduation, Buffy finally accomplished her life long goal: She stuffed herself through the basket to win the NBA dunk contest. Future plans include a brief period of “Hanging around then on to the profession of motorcross racing. Rebecca Sunderland- Rebecca has finally settled down in Woodstock, New York after completing her world trek around the circumference of the globe pushing a wheelbarrow and walking on her hands. When asked what was the the difficult part of the trip, she said that holding her breath while traversing the ocean floor was taxing, besides that the coral hurt her hands. Future plans include weekend trips to Cold River searching for the ghost of Noah! Bill Taylor- Bill is now principal of SLCS. According to Bill, the most difficult part of his job is to motivate kids to “be all that they can be It wasn't like this when I was in school”, he stated. “We were eager to learn and something must be done to change this . OK Bill, we hear you! Shawn Tuller- Shawn is now the owner of “Tuller's Organically Grown Vegetables.” Because of his love for science and his insatiable thirst for answers, he successfully created two new strains of vegetables: The Taylortomato and the Rowemelon. We will not discuss the physical characteristics of these “two new veggies as space does not permit. However, Del Monte refused to market Shawn’s creations, so he did so himself. You can see Shawn at his stand at the end of Crane Pond Road. In passing Shawn said, “It's not only the product you sell but also the location you have ... I’ve got the best of both worlds! Eric Welch- Eric still commutes to ACC some ten years after graduation. Its not that he can’t do the work but it’s his love for the drive to Glens Falls. Now, after 4,700 tanks of gas and 3,000 quarts of oil, Eric says, “I’ll never completely see all there is to see along 1-87.” Keep on truckin! Kim Zulick- Kim presently has accomplished something that was always denied her. She now has a pink house with a pink lawn, trees, flowers, ect. The interior of her house is (you guessed it) pink, not to mention her pink attire, pink Cadillac, pink furniture and her latest ... pink eye! Roger Belleville- Roger completed 10 yrs. of service with the Bic Shaver Company. He’s now doing promotions on national T. V. before a national T. V. audience by shaving off three years of stuble and, oh yes, he’s ruined a dozen razors by now. Paul Bessey- Paul now lives in his truck with his video rental. After 497,000 viewings of “Song of the South” Paul is moving on to bigger and better things ... “The Grinch who stole Christmas.” Chris Flateau- Chris left SLCS in search of the wonderful world of hobbits. The last word on Chris was that he was somewhere in the Pharoh Lake region turning up rocks and burrowing under brush piles in quest of his fabled land of gog! Tammy LaPrairie- Tammy refused yesterday to give up her job at the High School Cafeteria. When formal legal papers were filed, Tammy had her fingers welded to the buttons and keys, the board had no choice but to hire her for eternity. Jeff Tyrell- Of all of the people in the Class of 87, Jeff probably made the most radical change of all. As of this writing, Jeff has gone totally punk! He can be seen hanging around Stewarts spreading Peace and Love throughout the land. 41 Ltta Akma Beck Lisa (Mostly Cloudy) was born on September 9, 1969.
