WILDCAT 5 4 7 FACULTY t 12 ' SENIORS ft ? 27 CLASSES si ... ORGANIZATIONS £ athletics I 4. .. ACnvmES S 47 ADVERTISING FG£££NTED EY THE CLASS OF 1966 SCHROON LAKE CENTRAL SCHOOL IN UEMORW Our school will always fondly look upon the memory of Mrs. Jenks. Her unselfish de- votion, cheerful spirit, and tolerance will never be forgotten by those who studied under her. DEDICATION We, the class of 1966, dedicate this year- book to Miss Bodin with many wishes for her continued success in guiding, inspiring, and molding the students of Schroon Lake Central School. Because of you, Miss Bodin, our class will tackle its future with more purpose, with more understanding and with more zeal. PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE To the Class of 1966: With each passing year this copy of the “Wildcat” will take on in- creasing significance. As you assume new and challenging responsibilities the good times associated with school life and commencement will fade quickly into the past. Your yearbook, however, will help recapture many happy memories of events, places, and friends. It is with confidence and with great expectations that we bid you farewell. A TRIBUTE To Mr. and Mrs. Williford, who have struggled for four years to make us a better class, we would like to extend our sincere thanks and best wishes for many more happy years. We appreciate all the hard work that everyone on the “Wildcat” staff has done to make our yearbook one of the most successful projects we have ever had. We hope that you students enjoy this yearbook as much as we have enjoyed working on it and that it will always take a prized place among your memories of Schroon Lake. Is there anything on the Schroon Lake campus That compares with the noble swamp wampus? So loyal and devoted is our mascot Sam; He’s not in the least bit the kind of ham That the people who see him think he is. Why he is so quiet and shy—Gee whiz! They think because he carries a sign and seems to protest that he's not too fine. But what do they know; they cannot compare— They're judging from books, by just a quick glance. We seniors know he's a heap of romance: There's a clean pure soul beneath all that hair. ALMA MATER On the hill above the lake side Caressed by wind and sun. Stands our well loved alma mater As she yields her palms to none. To her ever we'll be loyal We’ll shout her praises still; And we'll lift the white and crimson And uphold it with a will. We shall wander in life's journeys Afar from dear old Schroon We shall drift beyond the mountains And must face the foe too soon; But the days we spend together Will cheer us for the fight; And we '11 conquer in life's battles Neath the crimson and the white.
