l£)ifcfcat CAcfuertisiny Jacufiy Gfasses Cflciiuities rPresente f UAe Grass of1965 - S£CS Tir, e mon am We express our deepest sympathy to the family of a girl who attended Schroon Lake Central School and was a friend of all, MISS RONNA GIBBS Dedication To you who have struggled and worked with us to help us reach our goals and to become a good example for underclassmen to follow: In our sincere appreciation for all you have done for us, The Class of 1965 dedi- cates our yearbook, The Wildcat,” to you both. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Harris ADVISORS Principal’s J Tessaye To the Class of 1965: Success is a very elusive thing. It never comes to anyone who is merely waiting for it to arrive. It must be pursued constantly and with sustained determination to catch it somehow. When it is cornered you must have the tools and scholastic preparation to control and use it. Will you catch it? If you do, will you be prepared to make it work? Y ou have spent four years getting an excellent high school education. This can be a stepping stone for better things to come. Keep planning, working, learning, and sooner or later success will be yours. Going to the United States for a whole year! How wonderful, now exciting, how far away that seemed to be last year. I could not believe that it should become a reality, and now this year is al- most gone. I have enjoyed attending Schroon Lake Central School very much and I no longer feel foreign here but just like every American student. I have wor- ried about tests with them, cheered the teams on to victory, and shared in their fun. The excellent discipline and the good school spirit of the students has surprised and pleased me. I appreciate greatly the good condition of the school building itself and the many conveniences for the students, such as free school books, and the good library. I must not for- get to give my acknowledgment to the cooks of the cafeteria. The school lunches have been ex- cellent all year! I would like to thank my teachers and my classmates for their help and support given me and for making my stay here so pleasant. You can be sure I shall always have Schroon Lake Central School among my favorite memories. i na Rater On the hill above the lake side Caressed by wind and sun, Stands our well loved alma mater As she yields her palms to none. To her ever we'll be loyal We'll shout her praises still; And we '11 lift the white and crimson and uphold it with a will. We shall wander in life's journeys Afar from dear old Schroon We shall drift beyond the mountains And must face the foe too soon; But the days we've spent together Will cheer us for the fight; And we'll conquer in life’s battles Neath the crimson and the white. We sincerely hope that, in future years, this yearbook will enable you to recall some of your most memorable moments at Schroon Lake High. We all have worked hard to make THE WILDCAT something everyone will enjoy and cherish forever. Bonnie Lantiegne EDITOR Margaret Letson ASSISTANT EDITOR Jearf)oo ? L. to R.: K.
