“
Principal’s Message To THE CLASS OF 1964: May I extend to you my congratulations upon the com- pletion of your high school education and best wishes for your success. It is essential that your education be considered as a lifelong proposition. The time has passed when a high school graduate can expect to end formal education upon acceptance of his diploma; there is a direct cor- relation between a person’s chance of employment and his level of education. Do not sit back and be satis- fied” but continue efforts in the direction of self-im- provement and sooner or later success will be yours. Table of Contents School Personnel Classes Seniors Organizations Activities Advertising In Memoriam of those who have passed away this year, who were close to our school. Mr. Edmond Yandon Mr. Eugene Gath Mr. Archie Denno In years to come as you lookback into this yearbook, we hope you will recall fond memories of the days at Schroon Lake High. Our yearbook is finally completed and we’re proud of what’s been done. The staff has worked hard and long on it and they’ve learned much from the experiences. The praise cannot go just to one, but to everyone who has worked to make the Scaroona” part of this year. Staff L. to R.: Florence Sprague, David Bensen, Susan Schoendtadt, Suzanne Monroe, James Johndrow, Shirley Leonard, Maribeth Atwell, Hazel Cannon, and Connie Raymore. Alma Mater On the hill above the lake side Caressed by wind and sun, Stands our well loved alma mater As she yeilds her palms to none. To her ever we'll be loyal We'll shout her praises still; And we'll lift the white and crimson And up hold it with a will. We shall wander in life's journeys Afar from dear old Schroon We shall drift beyond the mountains And must face the foe too soon; But the days we've spent together Will cheer us for the fight; And we'll conquer in life's battles Neath the crimson and the white.
