Mrs. Diem has given considerable patience and understanding to us in the classroom and in the hospital Mrs. Gietn has put forth a lot of time and effort in helping to make our yearbook a success. What have “Who, me?” Foxy Lady I done now?” CLASS HISTORY On September l6, 197 the N. l.N. Hospital School of Practical Nursing opened It•s doors to begin another year. Twenty-four girls gathered together anxiously awaiting clas:? to start. The very first night Terry let several of us give her a new hair style. And that was just the beginning of the exciting months to come. On Halloween night, Debbie dressed up as a gorilla and gave us all a scare. One night the girls In room 9 thought they heard burglars at the window. Sure ya did! VJe ' ll never forget Jill during study hours when she pulled the rocking chair in the demonstration room to study. Speaking of demonstrations, we can ' t ever forget the day Ruby, Grace and Kathle did their skit about Betsy Prig and Salry Gamp. This was also the year for Mrs. Guy ' s new teeth! Our bazaar was held on December 4th. Alot of time and work was spent on it and we were all pleased that it was a success. The night before Christmas holidays was quite festive in the dorm. There was carroling in the halls and many pranks and practical jokes were attempted. The next day the te achers gave us a party which Included playing games and exchanging gifts. A good time was had by all. Then we all headed for home. Finally, on January 8th, we wore our uniforms for the first time. That was a proud day for all of us. There have been many weddings and engagement rings rocelvad this year. Debbie became engaged and Celestial got married during Christmas holidays Ruby waited a little later and was married in March. And Kathie and Mary Lena became engaged in April, During the year, we visited two Nursing Homes on the Shore. But, our biggest trip has been going to the convention which was held in Virginia Beach, Va, at the Cavalier Hotel. Two things I’m sure we ' ll all remember are: Kathy getting lost and being late for the 1st day of the convention and Debbie stepping in the goldfish po nd while trying to take a picture. After the convention we went shopping and returned home broke, but happy. During the year, there have been times when our spirits have been low, but we have helped each other over these times. I feel that our experiences with life this year will make us better and more understanding human beings. We have all come a long way since September, but we now see many of our dreams coming true.
