Each day that we’ve passed together. Is special. We keep pushing on, Longing for the weekends. And we never appreciate The week days we have. They blow by endlessly Like the wind. But never once. Do we stop to savor them. We keep pushing on, Trying to get out of here. We don’t even know what we want But yet we wait Wait for our freedom. We keep pushing on. Telling ourselves how great It will be to get out of school Still we talk about never wanting To rock in that elderly chair. We keep pushing on And isn’t it funny How we always want What we don’t have? But after we’ve pushed And grown to our end We’ll look back at Our memories And shed a tear. We’ll look back And want to recapture That lost unenjoyed time. L.S.R. 12 80 38 We, as Seniors, wish to take this opportunity to honor and pay tribute to Mr. Martin Ditt- mar. We remember when we were too young to cross the street alone; we put our trust in you to help us safely across. Your dedication to your job for the past twenty years is recognized by young and old alike. When we look out and see the flag flying high over our school, we are re- minded of your unfailing de- votion to the country, the school and all the students of Schoharie Central. While traveling through Schoharie, Norman Rockwell honored Schoharie Central School by visiting our high school office. He was working on a cover assignment for the Satur- day Evening Post, the theme of which was the discipline in a typical school of the day. Upon entering the high school office, his at- tention was attracted to “the bench”. Inspired by the symbolic nature of this piece of furni- ture, he asked if he might borrow it as a prop for his painting. The Bench was delivered to Norman Rock- well in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Upon completion of the painting for the cover, Mr. Rockwell autographed the bench and re- turned it. Because of our fortunate visitation, we are now the proud possessors of a small example of Americana. Compliments of Community School Group 109 CHOIRS Row 4: A. Lowden, A. Wilbur, B. Anthony, J.
