Sheryl Filmer election for president was held and we discussed the various candidates and why we liked or disliked what they stood for. This year we got a chance to vote ourselves and elect who we thought would be the best possible person to represent us. (Maybe we'll elect the right person this time!) By this time we were eight years old and growing. Most of us stood over four feet tall now! The year was 1967 and we were in fourth grade. My, how the time seemed to fly! All of us were now in the very end of the elementary building, almost near the gym and all those gigantic high school people! Just think, only nine more years of school work completed, and we would be at the top! It seemed like forever at the time. Fifth grade! Now we were in the high school building with all the other people. We played against each other in recess and started to form values and learn about the world as it affected us. The n
