I've learned so many things about life and met so many interesting people and dear new friends. I will always remember you and the lovely Schoharie Valley. When I go home to Sweden I will continue with my second and third year on the science course in the Gymnasium (a secondary school preparing for University to which you can apply after the nine year compulsory school). After that I hope to get into Medical school at the University, otherwise, . . . well, I don’t know. At least I want to tell you that if you come to Sweden, I want my home to be yours. I would love to show you around in my country. Love, Helena P.S. Please write! My address is: Helena Fenger-Krog Haraldsbovugen 10 791 00 Falum Sweden ninety-eight Bus Drivers ROW 1:0. D. Mann. D. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself wjtth others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as die grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gratefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But d ?not, distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and ltfneline . Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. “ You are a child of tljg.unWfe'rse no less thanthe trees and the-stars; you have a right to be here, whetheror not it is clear to ypu, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. lerefpre be at geace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your jaspirations, in the noisy confusion omife keep geace with your soul. With . its sham; drudgery and lyoken dreams, it is Still a beautiful World. Be careful. Strive |MBj ip T
