With the return of only two lettermen plus the fact that some of the most promising material either left school for the service or did not report, left the squad in poor condition. Coach Smith feels that during the second half of the schedule the Schoharie team will improve and will make a good record for itself. At this time the Coach would like to point out that the sportsman- ship displayed both by the students and the team re- ceives favorable comment from all opponents. 'Page 28

Even though some of the games werenlt victorious. they were hard fought right through to the end, and lost in good spirit, which showed the good sports- manship of the Junior Varsity. Much deserved credit goes to Coach Murray for the fine training he gave the boys in good sportsmanship and has- ketball tactics. This year a majority of the hoys were new on the team. while a few were from last year's team. Hats off to Coach Murray and his fine ,I-V team. Page 27
