CE HE class of 1950 of the Schoharie Central School. That sounds impressive, doesn't it? What does it mean to those of us who are june graduates? We sincerely hope that as a class and as individuals we will be able to fulfill our duties as responsible and thinking citizens of our community, our nation and our world. That is why - after much deliberation - we chose our theme, the History of Schoharie. The world of 1950 is a troubled world, but because we have lived in a valley whose tradition is one - not of surrender and resignation - but one of courage and determination, we hope that we can carry on that tradition. We realize that we can not solve individually the problems of the world, but by doing our best in the every day tasks before us, perhaps we can in some way contribute to a happier and more peaceful world. We wish to thank all our teachers and all those who have contributed in making our years at Schoharie happy ones and for their patience in preparing us to take our place in society as useful members of that society. We shall endeavor to carry on the heritage of the Schoharie Valley of which we are proud to be a part. 9
