O I THIS yearbook, which is the fourth one that has been published in S.C.S. is the result of many hours of enjoyable labor. We were blessed with various new ideas, some of which have been carried out and others, of course, which haven't. Hal Von Linden, our photographer, is to be congratulated for the splendid work he has done for us in our book. With his help we have increased the number of pictures and have tried to make them more appealing to the readers with a large number of informal shots. Another new idea was doing the add section in free hand drawings. Warren, Dick, Leonard and Mrs. Frisbie all pitched in and succeeded in doing a wonderful job of it. Marilyn Canton racked her ingenius little brain many days and nights to provide us with the class poem, will and prophecy. Katherine S., Bernice A., and Thelma Pierce, the three originals, reminisced together the happenings in our younger days and came out with an eventful class history. Lorraine, Thelma, and Betty C. were kept as busy as bees filling the role of head typists. Betty Thompson, Lauretta, and lmlbur were always ready and willing with a helping hand. This editorial would not be complete if no mention were made of my right-hand man, Bill CBunnyl West. Willy was always on the go doing something. He would either be running errands, pasting picture cutting up he.adings, singing bass, or keeping us in good humor with his comedy acts. We sincerely hope you will enjoy this yearbook and that it will help you remember the class of '49 among the memories of your happy days at S.C.S. James Van Derwerken Editor in Chief 4 S:

wav aw THIS page can tell only a small part of our appreciation for the hard and untiring work which Mrs. Frisbie and Mrs. Rickard have given our class, for we know that at times it must have been quite difficult. It is with great pleasure that we, the Senior Class of 1949, dedicate our yearbook, the ' Schoharian, to the two people who have helped us through our high school years in S.C.S. MRS. Daniel Frisbie has been our class advisor for the last three years. Mrs. Leslie Rickard, who is no longer teaching, is remember ed for starting us off on the right foot in our Junior high school and Freshman years. We hope that in some small way this dedication will show them our gratitude for their splendid guidance and supervision. 3
