Herbert, however, is more interested in the forthcoming Regetta Day Parade in which Herbie and Vincent have entered a float. When a famous music critic comes to hear Herbert play, Herbie injures his hand while hauling in some boards and is unable to play the piano. From then on his mother, father, and kid sister have an unfavorable attitude toward the parade but just the same they are tickeled to death when the float the boys built comes ' first place Everybody however isn t tickeled to death about the float for there appeared to a little conflict in what Mr Tierney a rival contractor of father s thought was slander The story has a happy ending however for the boys recelve a medal for helping unveil Tierney s fraudulent ways and sending him to Jail Moonlight or rather Jean Bressart has enough fa1th ln Herbert s music al ability to pay for his expenses w1th her share of the prize money on a trip to New York so that the famous music critic who is her uncle can hear hlm play Vincent soon changes his opinion of that Bressart dame when she asks him if he would like to come to New York Vincent quickly accepts This year s production of the Junior class play was under the direction of Miss Catherine Wood Alvern Schoenfeld and Norma Jensen were in charge of sound effects CAST OF CHARACTERS Ardene Paulsen Charlene Moeller Lavonne Sweneheart Beverly baby of the family Margaret Reins her mother Mrs Ellington Lewis aristocrat Felix Hiedler music critic Herbert genius of trouble Sidney Rains his father Julia Arnold town s leading realtor Jean Bressart nlece of Mrs Ellingt Vincent Fransworth Sr principal Mrs Tracy housewife Mr Tierney contractor on Lewis Jo Evans Ronald Anderson Jerry Hess Dale Lehmann Norma Ernst Irene Bosse Harold Fick Beverly Brodersen Gordon Longlee , . in I ' ' 1 ll ' 11 1 Vincent Farnsworth, Jr., Herb's pal k--.uQ.--a-we--- --t'- ---.--.-A ----- -A-fa Philip Schlimgen 18 FIRST ROW SECOND ROW THIRD ROW Sophomore Class Tywla Wxgg Delores Else Joydu-ne Baeth Donna Lou Kenner and Lnbolmn Bahnsen Carlton Petersen Vernon Stocldleth Wxlma Jacob: Marleen Johnnnlen and Lou Hecht Bxlly Brockman Verdell Krohnke Marvxn Roecker llorlyn .Lingrcn Arhnd Wlese and Sponsor I Joint Dear Football Boys Ne may not be the largest class And maybe not the boldest Ne know we re not the smartest class And we may not be the oldest It s true that Car11e and B111 are rather short And Clump IS kmd of stout Clump on m a wrestlmg bout Now the gn-1s m our class could Catch the eye of any boy For M1111e there s Delores andl Sure you c. all hke .Toy There are several others we could boast But boastmg s not our style ,Ve are just tryxng To p.1 lt rather m11d Smce space IS hmlted And our class IS very thrlfty We 11 just leave you now Smcerely Sophomores of 49 and 50 19 N W Y , Nik But what upperclassman wants to take . . . . .
