Mrs. Ledger and her class composed the play 'Sweethearts on Parade,' enacted stunts, staged 'The King 1s Dead,' broadcast over KWED in Seguin, and showed WThe Sisters McIntosh,' WSugar and Sp1ce,'and WThe Advantage of Being Shy,N the one-act Dlays. The highlight of the year came with winning district championship in the one-act play contest with 'The Sisters McIntosh.n The cast were Jane Collins, Lillie Denman, and Gilliam Tate. PEP CLUB The Pep Squad, known as the Blue Jackets, organ ized this year, under the sponsorship of Mrs Pace Uniforms of blue and gold were selected, and the trlmmest group of Jacketeers marched upon the field throughout the year in Jaunty formations Cheer Leaders Marjorie Vordenbaum, Elaine Brehm, Estalene Biesenbach, Betty Simpson, and Bonnie Rosenbaum and Colonels Dorothy Lessard and Ruth Russell led the squad in snappy yells and songs Football season closed with the Pep Squad's entertaining the players with a Banquet of Many Lands wav N I J J 0' EQ-l...,u.Q.rI.'L Lk ,,.!4QL BUPFALUNIAN JQK , 1' QL ' ,J in N yy J QV r J O C s

The tables, representing different 6, 5 lands, including France, Mexico, Switzerland, Hol- land, and Ireland, seated the brightly gowned girls Q and correctly groomed boys. Old Mr. Gobbler and his f family satisfied the appetities of the Buffaloes and their Blue Jackets Coach Coers and sponsor Pace were surprised with tokens of appreciation from their respective squads Mr Shelton acted as toastmaster as only Mr Shelton can The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the faculty in the skit, 'Mary Had A Little Lamb ' These plea sant memories, with many others, made it an evening that will linger long in the hearts of those who attended BASKETBALL BANQUET The basketball boys and girls' mothers honored them with a Mexican Supper in the high school gym nasium March 4 The colorful Mexican motif of red roses, castles, burros, carts, and cactus lent a festive atmosphere that was further enhanced by the boys' blue and gold Jackets Every senorita was a queen that night, seated by a king, and all the basketball fans were loyal subjects Mr John Sippel, Master of Peremonies made the banquet a lively one with ennumerable qulps, skits, and songs The evening ended with dancing and later a quiet 'Jam sessionn at the home of Mrs Ledger, attended by those nwho just couldn't say goodnight ' fhda ahah. lll x S LL BUFiIeALUl:I.fAN Q., K 5' . .. - I QL y ' JI F I J ,s ' ,
