During this era, Schenleyls enrollment was at its peak, 3,000 students. His efficiency as counselor made his appointment to the position of vice principal a cause for general rejoicing. During his administration of this very difficult office, he Won the affection and admiration of both teachers and stu- dents. All who came in contact with him were impressed hy his high sense of justice, his personal integrity, and his Wisdom. To the students he gave patient hearing and wise counselg to the faculty, loyal cooperation and a sense of security in his strength and firmness.
