He stands for all that's just and good For all that's fine and true, For the will of men who, valiantly, Resolve to dare and do. A glorious light he shines today, A guiding star for Youth, Who strive to lead as once he led, Spurred on by faith and truth. Martha Brown, '32. p Gust Guide George 'Washington, O patriot, 'your body lies at rest, But still your spirit lives with us, and may it be twice blest. Though first in war, your guiding star was peace, and now we see That hand in hand, in this great land, tread peace and loyalty. George Washington, O patriot, has peace been cried in vain 5 'Twas Liberty unsheathed your sword, what better cause or aim? A law to make, but none to break you've left behind fine thoughts, To guide the ways through darksome days of future patriots.
