CLARK, CHARLES- Hess Varsity Track '19-'2O. A tiny fellow is young Chas And little cares for noisy jazzg But when you see him shooting past, You must admit that he is fa.st . He'11 grow up by and by. CLARKE, MARGARET- Peg , Peggy Social Committee, Leaders' Club, Basketball, Swim- ming, Girls' Cheer Leader. She shines at all the socials but not on the honor rollp She likes basketball devoutly but she has another goal: It's making everyone her friendg she surely does succeed. A lot more smiles like Peggy's-That's what all sad seniors need. I came, I smiled, I conquered. CLASTER, MAURICE Class Play Caste, Hobby Club, Civic Forum, Senior Social Orchestra. This noisy young fellow wh0's so loud and so gay, Came here to show us how to act in our playg And though he's not famous for studying books, He can pound the piano real well with his hooks 'l'here's one thing, however, that's really obscure: How he does get away with excuses so poor. The glass of fashion and the mould of form. COHEN, EVA Civic Forum. She's full of fun, she's full of life, She quite forgets this world of strifeg But sometimes still you've got to say. You don't quite get her funny way. A great devotee of the Gospel of Getting On. COHEN, ITHIEL- Ick Class Play, Business Committee, Student Board, Civic Forum, Hobby Club, French Club. He takes a chance at anything- At studying or at acting: He helps with the business of our class And his hobby's stamp collecting, And last, 'though it is not the least, He's always ready for fun and jest. In arguing, too, the teachers owned his skill, For e'en though vanquished, he could argue still. 22

CA RLSUN, ELSIE Basketball. Elsie is not studious, That fact no one will doubtg But yet she's always happy And we never see her pout. She sorter keeps things lively in the vale of human hearts. CARR, MURRAY Hobby Club, Mandolin Club, Modern Language Club, Student Board '20. Murray is not tall, Neither is he smallg A Franklin you will find he runs, And all the girls our Murray shuns. Out of my way. CHILDS, JENNIE- Jen Civic Forum, Leaders' Club, Chemistry Club. Jennie giggles all day long- She doesn't think that giggling's wrong: She's sure to drive the blues away With her smiling face and winning way. Laugh not too much. CHORNYAK, JOHN Chemistry Club, Civic Forum, Naturalist Club. At history he's a shark, But physics-ah, That is not such a lark. And he's often been heard to say, That he prays for the beautiful day Which will bring to an end his hard way. His reason for which is most easily' seen When you are informed that the ro0m's one fourteen. Throw physic to the dogsg I'1l have none of it. CLARK, BEN Civic Forum. Ben likes to have a lot of fun- So seldom is his nightwork doneg He likes the girls, he likes to dance, , Which does not tend his grades to advance. He multiplieth words without knowledge. 21

COHEN, JOSEPH Civic Forum, Class Basketball '18. There is a young fellow named Cohen, Who says there's a great deal in knowini But ah! sad to say. In the class everyday, Joe does not prove it by his showin'. I never felt the kiss of love, or maiden's hand in mine.' COLE, LULU- Lu Student Board, Civic Forum, Choral Club, Leaders Club. Although she has often a great deal to say, Still her voice we desire to hear: For we're made to rejoice When her sweet bird-like voice In song, lightly falls on our ear. A kind-hearted, good-tempered soul. CONNORS, THOMAS J. Track '18-'19-'20, Class Football '17-'19, In track and football he's done his full share, Athletics have been his particular careg He's not much inclined to society whirls, So you'll seldom find him around with the girls. He has a state of extreme exhaustion. COOPER-, HELEN Helen is quiet, but everyone knows, She never has lacked for gallant young beauxg She's seldom seen frowning just right after lunch Because 'cake and candy she always does munch. Thou hast no sorrow in thy song, No winter in thy year. CRAILSHEIMER, BETTY Betty always bright and gay, Talks and plays the livelong dayg In the halls with lads she's seen, Boys, it seems, for her are keen. Mirth, sparkling like a diamond shower, is thine. 23
