BOLLENS, ARCHIE This young man's ambition Is to be a journalist, But we're sure iwe've read his stuffj His calling he has missed. He that wants should not be bashful. BOLLINGER, LAURA- Lary Naturalist Club. There is a young lady named Laura, Who always says, Wait, 'til tomorrow. But poor Laura, 'tis said, Will get some marks in red, Since her lessons are her greatest sorrow. A fig for care-a Hg for woe. BRAUMAN, KATHLEEN- Katty Class Play Caste, Leaders' Club '18-'19, Triangle Club, Modern Language Club '18-'19. At dancing Katty is a shark, At acting she's a starg But when she starts to argufy, She doesn't get so far. They say the best men are moulded out of faults. BRFINNAN, ANNA Naturalist Club, Civic Forum. That school should begin at 8:45 ls a thing to which she can't agree, For she will come in late, Though 'tis always her fate, To be told she must come 'round at three. Better late than never. BROOKS, HE DEN- Br00kSie Class Play Caste, Basketball '19, Civic Forum, Commencement Speaker. Greek myths tell a tale of a maid of this name, Whose face launched a thousand of ships, Though this Helen may not attain such great fame, We know she tries all to eclipse- For an actress she is and a writer as well, So famous she'l1 be, we foretell. 'tSpare thy breath to cool thy porridgef' 19

BENJAMIN, HARRY Chemistry Club, Civic Forum. Our Benjamin's not quite a chemistry shark, Yet some way or other he does hit the mark, Yet get him around before 8:45- Well, the man who can do this is not yet alive. I heard a hollow sound, who rapped on my head? 1:1-:RNs'rEIN, HYMEN G.- Hym Civic Forum, French Club, W. S. S. Salesman. ln English, Hym is not a shining light, But there are other things we keep in sightg With stamps he's done his share for Schenley High, And many other things you can't deny. As idle as a painted chip upon a painted ocean. BLOCK, HAROLD B.- Bushy Civic Forum, Commercial Club, Basketball '20 Senior Football '19, Manager Baseball '19, Track Dramatics Club. In basketball he failed to star, We're not at all sure that he skates, But he, 'tis sure, excels by far, All others in classroom debates. This way the noise was, if mine ear be true. BLYTHE, JOHN- Johnny Track, Capt. Track Team '19, Choral Club. Hard study agrees not with John, Though at running he's just like a fawng But if there's a crowd which he is among- In it you will find his friend who's so young. The sin of excessive length. ISUETTICHER, NINA Basketball, Choral Club, Student Board, Leader Club. Here is Nina, The basketball queen, In the thick of the fight She is sure to be seen, She takes to wild tunes As a duck takes to water, And she's ruined her rep As a minister's daughter. A sprightly miss and a good fellow. 18

BROXVN, MARY ' Mary L. Brown Cmay her rashness ne'er ceasej Awoke one day from a deep dream of peace, Report at the oflice at once! she was told, Do you think cutting periods the school's rep will up- hold? But Mary just smiledg she was used to such calls, For more than one time she'd been caught in the halls, Still, it's imps such as she that are always liked best, Because they're so merry and quite self-possessed. Study is a weariness of the flesh. BRUNTON, JOSEPH-' ' Rameses II Class Secretary, Student Board '19, Pres. Hobby Club '19-'20, Civic Forum, French Club. He's big and tall, Beloved of all, A fine scribe you'll agreeg But running his Lizzie Keeps him so busy. A chauffeur it seems he will be. Remote from cities lived a Swain. BYRNE, MARTIN- Texas Class Basketball. Martin is one who does, not give a hang, This can be seen by his hair a la bang. This little kid is laughed at by the boys- Reason enough since he makes so much noiseg Proof may be had if you'1l step into class Where you'll find Texas still shooting the gas. A plentiful lack of wit. CA PLAN, LEO Oh Leo, should a lion wild Happen to see you in some class, He'd gaze with awe and manner mild At talk and words from such a child. A word to the unwise is useless CARLISLE, HELEN Helen is a happy lass, She's seldom sad, 'tis true, Except of course when in the class, For there she's frightened blue. The only way to have friends is to smile. 20
