Mahoney Commander Mahoney graduated from Seattle University in 1969 with a degree in Political Science. l-ie earned HIS commission from Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island the same year . . . From 1971 to 1972 he was assigned to the Naval Advisory Group in the Republic of Vietnam, serving in the Vung Tau and Camau areas f ' S o operation.
