ln a growing community students learn to an- ticipate change. District 211's students are used to opening new schools. When new boundaries were again being formed, parents of two interest groups appeared before the Board of Education and requested that their now freshman students at Schaumburg High School not be moved. After many heated meetings, close to 100 freshman students learned they would become sopho- mores at Conant High School. A small section of Hanover Park was annexed to the new Hoffman High School. The loss of these talented students and their parental support will hurt the estab- lished programs - mainly language, sports and music at Schaumburg High School. So the old sto- ry of new boundary lines was once again told. And for some former Saxons, it's time to learn a new school song. Same Old Story - New Song
