This year's senior class decided to present an inlaid crest to the school which will be placed in either the main hall or in the gymnasium. lon Kalkwarf and Mr. Carl Flaks were elected graduation speakers by the senior class of 1973.

X! National Honor Society was quite active during the past year. They sponsored a concessions stand for a wrestling tournament in December and also handled sales for calendars, Senior buttons and book sales for school departments. Some of the members were involved in a tutor- ing service for desiring students. The Medical Careers Club visited Great Lakes Naval Hospital and also aided their treasury with a flower sale for St. Patrick's day. Their most commendable idea was the adop- tion of a girl at Dixon State Hospital for the Retarded. School nurse, Mrs. Deguisne, sponsored this interest club. R S The three Schaumburg twirlers performed with the marching band during the football season and dur- ing the year took part in competi- tions throughout the area. At the U.S.T.A., Linda Goldberg and Terry McGlennen each won a first place rating while Gail Schreiner placed second. The Color Guard performed at all our home games presenting Schreiner L........ the colors during halftime. Often they performed in conjunction with the PomPon squad.
