The 198 The Schaller Rockets posted a 6-3 record in the Bo- Coon Conference football race during the 1980 football season. They ended up second in the conference with Wall Lake, Newell, and Crestland all tying for first. This year was a special year for head coach Jim Taylor. He has been coaching for twenty-five years, eight of those while in Schaller. During his coaching career he has accummulated 150 wins. lt came about after the its. victory over Battle Creek this season. To celebrate this achievement there was a pep rally held in his honor. He received plaques, a trophy, autographed football from the football team, and to top it off two lovely decorated cakes made in the shape of a football field and football. Wefre sure Mr. Taylor will always remember this day and we hope he will be a sharer of another 150 wins.
