SECOND Marilyn Hogue, Mgr., Judy Brovm, Colleen Blum, Hartgenbush, Beth Whalen. , 1 D'espite the successful win-loss record of this year's Rockettes, it was a some-what disappointing season. Once again Schaller came close to winning the county championship, only to see it slip away. For the most part, the girls depended upon a tough guard court fde- fensive average 45 pointsj to hold down high scoring opponents. With only five letter-winners from the 1955 squad to bolster them, the girls fashioned a forward court combination that averaged a little more than 53 points per game. Forward Carol Fitzsenry carried the bulk of the scoring, just shading post forward Barb Barrett. The final starting forward assignment was very capably handled by Ian Pyle. Judy Howard moved back to post guard, and Connie and Gwen handled the out spots. In addition to the six regulars, Carol Waterbury and Jean Rasmussen played enough to letter. The team was county tournament runnerup. We won 12 games and lost 10, placing second in the county tourney. Our final loss, by two points in an over-time with St. Mary's in the sectional tournament, was a heart-breaker.
