Through their three-fold program of Prayer, Work, and Sacrifice, members of the Catholic Student Mission Crusade are devoted to the cause of extending the Kingdom of Christ. Through various activities sponsored throughout the year this organization is able to give finan- cial assistance to missionaries both at home and abroad. Giving financial assistance to a Scecina boy studying for the priesthood is a project peculiar to the Scecina Unit of the Catholic Student Mission Crusade. My Extracurricular activities are essential in high school life, and they play an important role in each students school life. It is for this reason that the Father Tom Club is one of the most active clubs operating in the halls of Scecina Memorial High School. The purpose of this organization is to foster interest and active participation in school activities. As a result of student support and co-operation, stimulated by the Father Tom Club, many school projects have been successful. Awards and pins are annually distributed to students who are active members and who have attained a required number of merits. Q44 ff, Student Council To achieve a better and more friendly relationship between the faculty and the students is the main purpose of Scecina's Student Council. Our Student Council organization sponsors many activities throughout the year. The officers, working :through their various permanent committees, plan pep rallies and student as- semblies, as well as the annual Homecoming. To promote -better order in school, they have established the monitor system, which consists of representative f ' Scecina students.
