The Third Order is an organization of Tertiaries who are the co-workers of St. Francis. The purpose and goal of this organization is to do the work of St. Francis, which consists in helping the poor, being friends to the friendless, visiting the sick, and performing charitable works. These Tertiaries are not only serving God but are also spirit- ually aiding themselves by imitating their model, St. Francis of Assisi. i 4 S R MI ri gl
