Science llluh The Science Club is an organization of students devoted to the purpose of promoting further interest in science. This past year the club has joined with the National Science Club of America, which enables it to get literature and other additional information on science. The members of the science club participate in communi- ty, county, and state Science Fairs. Some of the members entered an electrical contest put out by P.G.E. During the meetings experiments are put on for the benefit of the class by members of the club. One of their activities during the year was the sponsoring of a dance. Also science exhibits are shown to the P.T.S.A. during the community Science Fair. We have also had representatives at the Associate Board of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Math Club, a branch of the National Math Club, is composed of the top math students in school. At their meetings, the students take turns explain- ing various ways of solving math problems. 5 A student having a year of algebra, a year of geometry, and is working on a second year of algebra may join. During the year the Math Club has several social activities and enters the National Math Contest. Future Farmers nf America W This year to highlight the activities of the F.F.A., Bob Esty placed 2nd in the district and 3rd in the sectional public spea n contests. The parliamentary team placed lst in the district and 2nd in the e al contests. Sixth Row: Lyle Waite, Ricky Van Abkoude. This club is open to any member of the student body. Its purpose is to promote Christian fellow- ship and activities in the school. This years activities included a trip to Mt. Hood, car wash, trip to the beach, a three day camp downf at Cannon Beach, a Christmas ceroling party and a Y-Teen pbanquet.
