XVell, we did do it againl . . . Class Night a la senor and senorita, was a gala affair. XVe won-after the juniors and Sophs tied for first place. That sounds pretty bad, so We've decided to forego the pleasure HJ of a Class Night paragraph. lt Happened Next Tuesday was a stimu- lating mixture of comedy and melodrama, dealing with the dangerous indifference of some Americans to their government. Tom jones, a typical American citizen, plans a hunting trip in the midst of an in- tensely critical political situation, although warned not to do so by far-seeing Reverend Lynch. ln an unusual second act he dreams of returning, to find the country controlled by a ruthless dictatorial set-up which has caused the death of his buck-private son, warped the view- point of his impressionable little daughter, and in general destroyed the happiness of his friends and family. The nightmare grows very black, but upon awakening, Tom realizes the error of his ways, gladly cancels the hunting Yearbook Adver- tising Stuff By hook or by crook 24

union! Room I2 .. hrinking, shrinking, shrinking-pardon us if our voice sounds thin, hut we're down to three hoinerooins now. We admit that we were dormant during our first two years in high school, hut now that we've started, we're going to be hard to stop. The vitality of our class officers-Charles Davis, Marjorie O'Grady, Muriel Wentisch, and Jack Danes-helped start a tidal wave of activity which nearly swept a Class Night victory from the reach of the Sophsg but they managed to hang on for a tie for first place with us. Ours was not a flashy victory earned by a few Hrsts, but we won by keeping up a high standard in all the divisions of the contest.
