Left: Karin Jones takes a moment for reflection during a thought provoking lecture. The members of the Class of 1977 have a unique perspective on matters both past and yet to come. They strive to attain individual goals while looking back fondly on the memories of days gone by. Combining experiences of the past with hopes for the future enables the senior to face the chal- lenges ahead with a sense of awareness and opti- mism. It is this understanding of one's self that will enable the senior to continue the process of devel- opment that has begun at Sayreville High School. c 13

Right: Diane Hampson, Caroline Syslo, Donna Lotrario and Doreen Posik amplify their harmony in tri-vocal rendition. Curious and full of anticipation, sophomores begin a learning process when they enter SWMHS. The high school is a new and exciting environment in which they will embark on a series of new experiences. On the threshold of a journey of development, they will be influenced by peer groups as well as teachers. As members of the junior class, these same individuals will have matured on a personal level and will have developed a sense of unity made possible only by sharing similar experi- ences. Every area of life now begins a process of expansion and these students view the future with a vibrant enthusiasm and a never ending curiosity. 15 Top: Steve Dauda and Daryl Roberts learn to express their talents musically.
