Practical Courses Offered in H orne Economies With the rising cost of living, one of the most prac- tical courses a student could take was Bachelor Liv- ing. Bachelor Living is a crash course on how to cope with the problems of single people. Students learned to repair and alter clothes. In addition, nutritional needs and how to prepare simple and economical dishes were discussed. Seniors are eligible to compete for the Betty Crocker Scholarship. Other awards are S100 from the Board of Education, sewing awards from the Wom- en's Club and S10 for the best student in Vocational Education. Marie Bahnsack Pulli L. Audio visual aids are used to round out the students' studies. The Senior Spanish V class gave a lec- ture to the other classes dealing with the importance of mastering a foreign lan- guage. All of the language teachers have trav- eled extensively throughout the countries where their languages are spoken.
