Recordkeeping C0-operative Work Program Successful The majority of the Senior Business Stu- dents are enrolled in the Co-operative Work Program. The Business Department arranges for these students to receive on-the-job train- ing while also receiving a salary. Two new courses were added to the curriculum this year. They were Business Communications which helps students acquire the basic lan- guage skills and Business Math which deals with the practical aspects of Math such as recordkeeping and simple accounting.

Fiction, 202 Mythology New Course and Approaches in En glish Department The newest addition to the English Department is a course entitled Mass Media. It gave students a chance to study the different media such as television, radio and magazines. The students studied the various techniques used by the media to attract viewers. British Literature, a senior course, was team taught by Miss Janoski and Mrs. Koncz. They changed classes periodically and taught a wide range of British Litera- ture encompassing the works of Chaucer, Shakespeare, and poets like Wordsworth, Coleridge, and Shelley. Also emphasized in the course was grammar and compos- ition. Each year the English Department gives a S100 award to the most promising sen- ior.
