Individual Marks Highlight Season Finishing four losses in the last five meets, the Boys' Gymnastics team closed out the season with a disappointing record of 6-5. Leading the team this year was senior captain Bill Dail who was hampered by a separated shoulder midway through the season. His injury hindered the Bombers. Bill still qualified for the Individual Sectional Championships and placed sixth in all around events. He also qualified for the State Finals. Sophomore Steve DeLeo, an all around man, also qualified for the Individual Sec- tional Championships and State Finals. He won a fifth place medal on the high bar, a second place medal in vaulting and a fifth place in all around events during the Sectional Championships. At the State finals he twice placed sixth to win medals in the high bar and vaulting events. Steve also broke a record for most points in a sea- son by a Sophomore with 186. Also heading this year's team was. Senior Paul Hilla who handled three events. Seniors Art Teeter, Bill Slusher, and John Dahl all did superb jobs on the sidehorse. Dan Spencer was the Bombers mainstay on the rings. Roy Farfel and Mike Smith led the squad this season in tumbling and vaulting. Joe Ference, a fine vaulter, added depth to that position.
