SCIENCE m IRENE ARTHUR New York University, M.A. Department Chairman Science, as we know it today, has become a separate and unique component in our daily lives. A high school student is curious about many areas of science. Each science student has the oppor- tunity to solve problems by performing experiments and to learn about new scientific advances. However, most important, science teaches the student to think critically and to understand his relationship to the wonders of the rapidly changing techno- logical world in which he is growing up.
