The practical aspects of English are stressed for students who plan to take jobs immediately after graduation. For those who plan to extend their education, emphasis is placed on the special skills and literary background needed for this subsequent work. Provision is also made for the study of ad- vanced techniques and materials by students who have special ability and interest in English.
