DEDICATION As Quo Vadis celebrates its twentieth year of publication, we, the class of 1962, dedicate our yearbook to our Alma Mater, which has echoed our footsteps as we hustled to class and harbored so many of our emotions as we became young adults. Many secrets and memories will remain after we turn to face the world outside. The years may roll by, but we know that time can never change our heartfelt feelings for our school. Our dedication is only matched by its sincerity. 5

MRS. MILDRED TRENT Clerk Mrs. Trent, Miss Helpa, Mrs. Semasko, Mrs. Yanas. MISS MARGARET M. WALSH Principal To the Class of ’62: The Class of 1962 is the ending of an era of education at Sayreville High School. Just twenty years ago, in 1942, Sayreville was honored with its first graduating class. In June 1962, you are the last class to graduate from Sayreville High School. Sayreville has indeed shown progress in the twenty inter- vening years. Our town has grown in size, our population in the school has tripled, but our philosophy of education, which was the guide to the training of the students of 1942, is still the steer- ing wheel in the education of the Class of 1962. As we review the achievement of all those who have grad- uated from Sayreville High School since the year 1942, we are impressed by one outstanding similarity: all the graduates have shown good character and true American loyalty. I know the Class of 1962, even as it ends the tradition of Sayreville High School, will continue to uphold the traits of good moral character and true American principles which it has received through the training of high type professional people. I know that the Class of 1962 will measure up in all respects to those graduating classes which have gone ahead and have made a name for themselves in the world. In your world of to- morrow, you will reflect the training of Sayreville High School and will bring honor to its memory. THROUGH THE YEARS MARGARET M. WALSH Principal 7
