With the aid of her cheerful personality, Janice will conqueror all she endeavors. Activities: Member of Colorguard, Glee Club, Modern Story Club, Fine Arts Club. LINDA DIEKER Ambition: Undecided Lin Pet Peeve: Oral Quizzes Always seen with a smile, Lin is one of the quietest girls in the class. She is a diligent worker who earns good marks for her efforts. Success will surely be hers in whatever she does. Activities: Quo Vadis, Feature Editor of Echo-Lites, Glee Club. FREDERICK DIEKER Ambition: Mechanic The Diek 1 Pet Peeve: English IV Freddy , who was one of the quieter boys of the senior class, is now noted for his pranks and his crazy stories. Aside from his joking, Fred is a friend to all and will succeed in whatever the fu- ture holds for him. Activities: J.V. Basketball. J.V. Baseball, J.V. Foot- ball, Word Study and Math Club, Aviation Club, Gym Club. PAUL COX Ambition: Research Chemist Miltie Pet Peeve: Quo Vadis Meetings Paul is one of the outstanding stu- dents at S.H.S. His superior marks and pleasing personality assure us that he will succeed as a research chemist. Activities: Quo Vadis Editor, Band, Student Coun- cil, Junior Play, Boys' State Representative 1956, Spring Concert, Math and Word Study Club.

THOMAS CHMIELEWSKI Ambition: U.S. Coast Guard Tommy Pet Peeve: Wombats 'Tommy's'' pleasant personality has always won him many friends. His clown- ing always set those around him laughing. CONKLIN MICHAEL CHUDKOWSKI Ambition: Doctor Chick Pet Peeve: Algebra Mike, an excellent sax player, is playing with the S.H.S. band for his fourth year. His jolly sense of humor makes him fun to have around. A fine doctor he will be to which no patient will fear to go. Activities: Band, Spring Concert, Intramurals, Word-Study and Math Club, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Baseball, Echo-Lites. PATRICIA COTTON Ambition: Undecided Johnny Pet Peeve: School and Homework John, a transfer from Far Rockaway High, came to S.H.S. in his sophomore year. Although he is quiet in class, that does not mean he is the same on the outside. He is well liked by everyone and full of fun. Activities: Clubs in Former school, Micro Club, Wrestling Club, Gym Club. Ambition: Comptometer Operator Pat Pet Peeve: Leaky pens Pat is a very conscientious and quiet student. But, when not in class, her liveliness and gaiety add to the enjoy- ment of the class. We are sure that she will make a fine comptometer operator. RICHARD DONELON Ambition: Attend Conservatory of Music 1 Dick 1 Pet Peeve: Chief Dick, is a fellow who makes friends easily. We see him playing in the band, contributing his outstanding musical talent. We know he will go far in his career as a musician. Activities: Junior Play, Ba.nd, All State Band, Con- cert Soloist, and Darice Band. Ambition: Attend Conservatory of Music Bob Pet Peeve: Only 24 hours in a day Bob is the quiet fellow we see play- ing at many of our dances. He is a happy- go-lucky fellow. We know he will be a suc- cess in his musical career. Activities: Dance Band, Spring Concert, High School Band. 26
