IRVIN BOWMAN Ambition: Air Force Irv Pet Peeve: Report Cards Irv is always full of pep and vigor and always ready to go. He is one of the handsome members of our class who rates high with the girls. A fine friend he is, with a personality that cannot be beaten. Activities: Football, Wood Shop Club, Micro Club, Science-News Club. MARY CANNON Ambition: Stenographer Mar Pet Peeve: Studying Although Mary is one of our quieter classmates, she is well liked by all. We wish Mary the best of everything in the future. Activities: Glee Club, Future Nurses of America, Fine Arts, Office Practice. CHARLES BUCHANAN Ambition: Undecided Buddy Pet Peeve: Insurance Buddy is one of our best dressed fellow classmates. Homeroom 3 would be dull wi thout h is pranks and witty remarks. We wish him future success in whatever field he chooses. Activities: General Science Club, Gym Club, Oral Presentation Club. JUNE CAREW Ambition: An Mrs. Degree June Pet Peeve: Homework Smiling and happy at all times is our June. A willing helper and hard worker, we know she will do good after attaining her ambition. A likeable fellow, slow but sure he is, whose fine sense of humor will be s ure to carry him through to a success- ful life. Activities: Art Club, Metal Shop Club, Officials Club, Intramurals. 22 JOAN BENNIS Ambition: Secretary Joannie Pet Peeve: 4b lunch Joan is one of the quieter members of the class. She is always willing to give a helping hand to others. As a secretary we know she will excel. Activities: Red Cross Club, Echo-Lites Club, Office Practice. EVELYN GAIL BOWMAN Ambition: Business School Gai11“ Pet Peeve: School and homework Gail's jokes and witty remarks made many of us cheer up on those Blue Mondays. Gail, one of the most popu- lar girls in the Senior class, has a sunny disposition and a terrific sense of humor. Gail can usually be found giggling in the halls with Elena, Pat and June. THOMAS CHMIELEWSKI Ambition: U.S. Coast Guard Tommy Pet Peeve: Wombats 'Tommy's'' pleasant personality has always won him many friends. His clown- ing always set those around him laughing. The best of everything goes with Tom- my after graduation. Activities: Modern Story Club, French Club, Geo- graphy Club, Echo-Lites Staff. 4 JOHN J. CONKLIN MICHAEL CHUDKOWSKI Ambition: Doctor Chick Pet Peeve: Algebra Mike, an excellent sax player, is playing with the S.H.S. band for his fourth year. His jolly sense of humor makes him fun to have around. A fine doctor he will be to which no patient will fear to go. Activities: Band, Spring Concert, Intramurals, Word-Study and Math Club, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Baseball, Echo-Lites. PATRICIA COTTON Ambition: Undecided Johnny Pet Peeve: School and Homework John, a transfer from Far Rockaway High, came to S.H.S. in his sophomore year. Although he is quiet in class, that does not mean he is the same on the outside. He is well liked by everyone and full of fun. Activities: Clubs in Former school, Micro Club, Wrestling Club, Gym Club. Ambition: Comptometer Operator Pat Pet Peeve: Leaky pens Pat is a very conscientious and quiet student. But, when not in class, her liveliness and gaiety add to the enjoy- ment of the class. We are sure that she will make a fine comptometer operator. Activities: Glee Club, Library Club, Commercial- ites Club, Quo Vadis, Office Practice. 24
