SAYREVILLE HIGH SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS WILLIAM T. BAILEY RICHARD M. DAVIS JAMES V. BURKE ANTHONY DUSCHOCK DR. HENRY CIESIELSKI LESLIE F. HOLTHAUSEN EDWARD LONNE STEPHEN J. MALIK RALPH W. MERRETT Telephone South River 524 OFFICERS RALPH W. MERRETT. PRESIDENT DR. HENRY CIESIELSKI. VICE PRESIDENT RICHARD M. DAVIS. DISTRICT CLERK JOSEPH J. WEBER. CUSTODIAN JOHN E. LYONS.PRINCIPAL JOSEPH R. GARDNER. SUPERVISING PRIN SAYREVILLE, N. I. March 12, 1945 Dear Classmates, In presenting the fourth edition of Quovadis, we are carrying on a tradition established by the Class of 194-2 and continued in 194-3 and 194-4. We have tried to maintain the same lofty aims set forth b the first graduates. Again the graduating class of Sayreville High is a war-time class faced with the grim and challeng- ing tasks that accompany world strife. Many of our classmates have already entered service, and the rest of us are about to assume the responsibilities of adulthood for which we have prepared during the last four years. ’'Whither goest thou? is a ques- tion of great significance to us now. The problems confronting us are great, but if we have the courage and moral strength to meet them sanely, we shall be able to handle capably whatever the future pre- sents . As president of the senior class, I wish for each of you success and happiness. I am sure we shall forever cherish the memories of Sayreville High, and that we too shall join the ranks of Alumni of whom our Alma Mater can be proud. With luck to you,
