0 R YEAR Time began on August 31 and with the entrance of September, we were fairly well accustomed to the daily routine. September ll, SHS played Erick there and on the 21st, we had our first holi- day for a teachers' meeting. On the 25th, Sayre Eagles played Cordell there. This was football. That month flew and left only eight more to go. Five months out of the way and a short one coming up, February: 1-Sayre Junior College at Garden City, Kansas: 2-Sentinel at Sayre: 5-Carter at Sayre: 8-Sayre Junior College vs Borger, Here: Sayre at Hammon: 11-Clinton at Sayre: 12-19-District Basketball Tournament: 23-Erick at Sayre: February really did fly. March is another busy month with many interesting evems. 2-County All-Stars vs Sayre Junior College: 7-T 8: I Open House: 7-9 State Distributive Education Convention at Norman: 1'7- Band to Shamrock: 22-Sayre Junior College Program at- New Liberty: 26-27 FHA State Rally at Oklahoma City. That's seven months of precious memories gone by. I guess we can hold out for two more. We rushed April: 2-Junior-Senior Banquet: Baseball Season Begins: 5-Sayre at Clinton: 6-10- Southwest Conference Baseball Tournament: 12-Sayre Junior College Senior Day: 16-19-Easter Holidays: 23-Senior Highschool Recital: 27-Sayre Junior College Jamboree: 29-30-State Music Finals at Stillwater. At last it gets here, our last month of school. Do you remember these dates: I shall never forget them. '1-Varsity Show: 14-Junior Play, No More Homework : 16-Baccalaureate: 1'7- Sayre Junior College Commencement: -20-Junior Highschool Commencement: 21-The most im- portant day of anyone's education-HIGHSCHOOLCOMMENCEMENT:21-End ofthe second semester.
