This group played the latest hits of the day and spent many hours practicing that special kind of music that boys and girls like for dancing. The band played for various school parties, banquets, the Operetta, and the Minstrel Show, as well as for many outside activities. It closed its successful season by supplying musi- cal interludes for the senior play. Be My Love, If , In the Mood, and Bonapart's R e t r e a t were among the favorites of the year. This is an exclusive organization, composed only of those boys who have been successful in earning an SL. The purpose of the Varsity Club is not only to grant well-earned recognition, but to encourage clean sportsmanship and gen- tlemanly conduct in sports. This year the members increased their CHEERLEADERS Bussard, Hyrnciw. McCue Facchenei, McMurtrie treasury by selling programs at the home football games.
