It was a wonderful banquet that we won’t soon forget. The Seniors would like to give a special thanks for the banquet. This year Savoy's first Booster Club was organized. Each member paid $5.00 to join. They raised money to help the athletic program. They sold chances on an Intellivision and sold refreshments at the Florida Boys Concert. They made ap- proximately $900 this year which will go toward buying a weight machine. They also took the football team out to eat, served refreshments to the basketball players, and a number of other things. Their help has been greatly appreciated. They stopped in Austin to visit the Capitol and the LBJ Library, then went on to spend the night at San Marcus where they toured Aqua Marina Springs. They spent two and a half days at Padre Island swimming, shopping, and fishing. They left for San Antonio Thursday and spent the night there. They toured the canal and spent a lot of time eating while they were there. Friday it was back to Savoy. They all enjoyed the trip and would like to thank the sponsors who went. a.
