v ui t i M fj The day before everyone got out of school for the Christmas holidays was a time for the grade school students to see Santa and a time for the high school students to run around, to drink cokes, and stuff themselves with chips and dips. The students worked hard to get Christmas trees, and each class decorated its own tree with the imagina- tion that only a Savoy stu- dent could have. Everyone exchanged gifts during the party and then went home for a week's rest from the daily activities of school. 18

October 28 was a night filled with fun, work, and excite- ment. There were many activities to be enjoyed by every- one . The students took a lot of time and a lot of hard work creating booths such as the shooting gallery, football throw, penny pitch, cake walk, go fishing, and many more. The seniors, Donnie Lankford and Shari Cox, were crowned King and Queen at the coronation which started at eight o’clock. There was entertainment presented by the grade school in the auditorium and the booths were opened afterwards in the gymnasium. a. Is it deer season, yet? b. I'm ready to walk. How about you? c. Inch-high private eye. d. Phyllis crunching down on her snow-cone. e. LuAnn, let the little boy go first, f. Don't just stand there Mike,” help me! g. Mrs. Tidwell, quit playing in the water, h.
