Many of us who have attended school or taught in Savona for several years, can recall seeing Mrs. Love sitting at her desk and waiting on people at many intervals during each day. She was always eager and willing to help anyone who had an injury or was ill. We were all sorry to see her leave, but she has earned a well-deserved retirement. We wish her good luck in the future and much happiness throughout her life. 5 Over the years, several persons, both teachers and other personnel, have been honored in one way or another. Some have been honored with yearbook dedications, and some in other ways. It is again the time in which we honor another such person. The 1972 ANOVAS is dedicated to a person who possesses manv fine qualities. It is unlikely that we pass this person in the hall without his issuing a beaming smile or a joke to brighten the day. His pleasant laughter echoes through the halls, and he is quick to cheer anyone who is gloomy. Although possessing a wonderful sense of humor, he also possess the ability to communicate with people of all ages, and his teaching abilities are of high quality. He works digently widi his stu- dents and is always willing to help when help is needed. As far as most of us are concerned, he is A-OK! So for your hard work, warm smile, and for just being yourself, we, the ANOVAS staff, and espe- cially the Senior class, dedicate the 1972 ANOVAS to you, Mr. Howard Farnsworth. The major purpose of this book is to record a pictorial history of this school year, with special recognition for the graduat- ing seniors. To you, the Class of 1972, we extend our very best wishes for continued success and personal happiness. We acknowledge that our daily contact with you has been a re- warding experience and we hope this feeling is mutual. We recognize that these have been difficult, yet exciting years for our graduates. There is a great challenge for you as you move out to assume positions of responsiblity and leader- ship in our democratic society. Despite its many shortcom- ings you are privileged to enjoy the best living available in any country on this earth. I submit that life can be beautiful if you will strive to improve that which is good, to change that which is wrong, and accept and live with that which cannot be changed. So move on with confidence and have a go at it. We express our appreciation to the ANOVAS staff for their un- tiring efforts in making this publication available for us. c'.94..4,.4.l ' m MR.
