This award is voted to thc girl and boy in the senior class who have proven themselves to be the best sports at home, at school and in all that they do. This year the awards go to Judy Rafeld and John Steward. May you continue to live your lives to the fullest and be as great an attribute to your community as you havc been to your school.

CLASS HISTCJRY Thirty-two shy little six-year-olds bashfully stepped inside the door of S. H. S. and Adario school for the first time way back in 1947. Today nine of those little first graders make up part of the Class of '59 of Savannah High School. Rebecca Hartley, Mary Gene McQuillen, Lana Zeigler. Janice Bernhard, Carol Carr. John Keener, Frank Newell, Loretta Whitesel, and Susan Workman are the nine. The other seniors who have attended other schools during some time of their lives, but are members of the Class of '59 are Delores Banfield, Beverly Brown, Sarah Cellar, Phyllis Cross, Maxine Eichelberger, Nancy Lawrence,PatMi1ler,JudyRafeld, Marcia Silsby, Sheila Wells, Larry Banfield, Torn Chronister, Larry Dake, Ed Huff, Dan Hutchinson, Bob McBride, Jim McCormack, Allen Mick, Don Morr, John Nebergall, Roger Nicodemus, Fred Schlayer, Ed Shultz, and John Steward. The Senior Class officers are: president, Bob McBride, vice-president, John Steward: sec- retary. Judy Rafeldg and treasurer, Marcia Silsby. No More Homework, a comedy, and The People Versus Maxine Lowe, a courtroom scene, were the plays presented by the Class of '59 as juniors and seniors. Other activities in which the seniors participated weresponsoring record hops, selling vanil- la, Christmas cards, and Sailor stickers, presenting Bon Voyage as the theme of the junior- senior banquet in honor of the Class of '58, serving banquets, sponsoring bake sales, and having car washes. Valedlctorian of the Class of '59 is Marcia Silsby. Honor students are Allen Mick, Maxine Eichelberger, Susan Workman, Fred Schlayer, and Janice Bernhard.
