F OREWORD Wfe have chosen Shakespeares image of the high tide for this first yearbook of the Savannah Country Day School for two reasons. As graduating seniors we have reached the highest point of one phase of our lives. The slow trickle of the training of our earliest years now surges at the full. It gives' us the power to meet the greater challenges which are now im- minent. In a larger sense the creation of the school was the result of a high tide of enthusiasm springing from the citizens of Savannah and channeled by the In- corporators, the Trustees, the Headmaster, and the Faculty. During this first year we, the students, have become a part of the rising current to the extent that each of us has fed it and given it strength. To know and understand fully that this is our part is to know that this tide will not ebb.
