CLASS OF '56 The only way to get work done, is to do it. In 1952 we started out our freshman year with sixteen in the class. There were four girls and twelve boys. In November Harriet Mitchell was elected Carnival Queen. Shortly after this Harriet and Shirley Mitchell quit school. At the end of the first semester Daniel Adams moved to Sidney to attend school there. This left 18 pupils in the freshman class, our class sponsor was Mr. Cornish. ln 1953 we started our Sophomore year with 12 pupils. Monte Gable quit because of work at home. We also lost Jim Jimison in April. We started working on the Junior-Senior prom the first of April. Our theme was Moonlight and Roses. Our prom would never have been a success without the help of Mr. Cornish, our sponsor. We are Juniors now and have 8 left. Gracia Helland moved to Shepherd, Montana, at the end of the first semester. Richard Stordahl moved to Alexander, North Dakota. We put on our Junior Class Play Where's the Fire, under the guidance of Mrs. Hammer. As our spon- sor, she also helped us put on the Junior-Senior banquet: our theme was O1d Mexico. Our Class officers are: President, Steve Rice: Vice President, Robert Iohnsong Secretary and Treasurer, Jim Rahn.
