P Northern Light operated a darkroom this year, and so be- came one of the few yearbooks in the State of Michigan to do so. By processing their own films and prints, Northern Light saved money as well as the inconvenience of having the work done commercially. These savings are passed on to the stu- dent through the use of a greater variety of pictures. Photog- raphers for this year were Dick Heselton , Roger LaMothe, and Fred Heselton. Chuck Sudranski served as business man- ager, and Mr. Robert Bishop acted ds advisor of the depart- ment. u ffl 1. Q Chemicals are iuggled by Fred Hesel- ton, who hopes to avoid getting soaked on this one. Word of Appreciation: As advisor to the Northern Light for this year, l must give credit to the students on this page for possessing qualities which are apparently becoming increasingly rare. I refer to the capa- city to take on a iob, complete it in spite of difficulties, and still strive for quality in their efforts. Success in life is based on such simple qualities of character. The photography department wishes to thank Mr. Bruce, the faculty, and the students for their cooperation in the taking of pictures for this year- book. Without the help received it would have been very difticult, if not impossible, to complete this record of Sault High. Roger LaMothe examines a print in the enlarger. Close inspection will re- veal that the print is of Sault High. Chuck Sudranski takes inventory, to determine whether the laws of supply and demand have caught up with de- partment.
